Through our membership, Flexfit® supports BCI’s efforts to improve environmental, social, and economic conditions for cotton farming communities.
What is BCI Cotton? BCI Cotton is cotton produced by BCI farmers under the BCI Standards or recognized equivalent standards. The BCI Standard is a sustainability standard for how cotton is grown that promotes the improvement of environmental, social, and economic conditions for farming communities.
The BCI Cotton we source is tracked by volume, which means that during production this cotton may be mixed or substituted with conventional cotton and therefore cannot be physically traced to an end product. However, BCI Farmers benefit from the demand for BCI Cotton in equivalent volumes to those we source.
Our Commitment Through the fees we pay on our sourcing of BCI Cotton, Flexfit® supports the continued delivery of field-level projects and farmer capacity strengthening activities through the BCI Growth & Innovation Fund.
