Introducing FLEXFIT® LYOCELL, a botanic textile sourced from an award-winning closed-loop production plant. Known for its natural comfort, LYOCELL is a cellulosic fiber made from Eucalyptus pulp and other trees. This environmentally friendly process not only reduces resource consumption but is able to recycle 99% of solvents back into the loop.

In the end, LYOCELL is programmed to biodegrade, using less for this and leaving no burden to future generations.
Flexfit’s® commitment to creating a better, more sustainable world extends to our use of breathable, fully biodegradable Lyocell fabric.
Creating this semi-synthetic plant-based fabric starts by harvesting trees which are specifically grown for the purpose of production in a closed-loop system. This approach avoids the negative impacts on the environment and natural ecosystems that come from traditional clear cut farming and deforestation. Once harvested, the wood from these trees is ground into a pulp which mixes with amine oxide to create a fully renewable material that can be spun into fiber. All chemicals used in the process are non-toxic and can be reused, reducing material waste and creating a cleaner environment for workers and for surrounding communities.

The resulting fabric is hypoallergenic, breathable, durable and as soft as rayon or silk - meeting our highest quality material standards. Best of all, because the fabric is derived from wood, it is fully biodegradable and compostable, helping us to preserve the planet for many years to come.
